Mr. Hughes joined Axonic at inception and previously worked with Clay DeGiacinto at Tower Research Capital. He was named Chief Operating Officer in 2019 and took on the additional role of Chief Compliance Offer in 2024. Mr. Hughes is responsible for Axonic’s compliance program and oversight of daily operational processes related to the Firm’s trading activities, and he plays an active role in counterparty due diligence, valuation supervision, and allocation processes and procedures. Additionally, he manages IT development, cyber security, and office management functions. Prior to joining the Firm, Mr. Hughes was Operations Manager at Tower Research Capital, after serving as Head of Operations at Dynamic Credit Partners. Previously, he held operations roles at Nomura Corporate Research and Asset Management and Deutsche Bank. Mr. Hughes received a BA in Economics from the University of Delaware.
